For the woman who is called but feels crushed by the weight of it. Let’s talk about what to do when your MORE feels too big especially for your season.
There are seasons in your journey with God when your spirit knows there’s MORE—but your hands, your schedule, your wallet, your energy, or even your current reality says otherwise.
You’ve heard God’s voice clearly. You’ve seen the visions. You’ve journaled the words. You’ve even caught glimpses of yourself in rooms and roles that haven’t yet materialized. And while your heart leaps at the thought of it all, your mind screams, “How, Lord?”
Maybe you’re juggling work, motherhood, ministry, singleness, studies—or all at once. Maybe the world is celebrating your “small wins” but inwardly you feel behind, underqualified, and unprepared for the scale of what God keeps showing you.
The burden of more can sometimes feel like too much.
So what do you do when your MORE feels too big for your now?
1. Acknowledge the Weight Without Denying the Call
Being called doesn’t mean you’ll always feel capable.
In fact, most of the people God called in Scripture were completely overwhelmed at first:
- Moses had a speech problem
- Esther was an orphan
- Mary was a young, unmarried virgin
- Jeremiah thought he was too young
- Gideon called himself the least of the least
So you’re in good company.
God isn’t waiting for you to pretend the vision doesn’t scare you. He just wants you to bring the weight to Him. Cry if you must, but don’t question whether you’re called. You are. And the call still stands, even when you feel small.
2. Break the MORE into STEPS
Sometimes, what overwhelms us isn’t the vision itself—it’s the assumption that we must execute all of it now.
Remember:
“The vision is for an appointed time…” – Habakkuk 2:3
Every big thing God births begins with small, obedient steps. Instead of trying to host the conference, write the book, raise the children, launch the business, go viral, and heal the world at once—ask: “What’s the next step for today?”
God leads in phases. You don’t have to carry the 10-year weight today.
You only need faith for today’s obedience.
3. Be Faithful With What’s in Your Hand
The enemy will try to trick you into thinking that you’re behind because your resources, audience, or reach don’t yet match your revelation. But God has always used the little in our hands to unlock the more in our future.
What did God ask Moses?
“What is that in your hand?” – Exodus 4:2
Your five loaves and two fish matter.
Your one blog post matters.
Your six YouTube subscribers matter.
Your mentorship of two teenage girls matters.
Your tiny Bible Study group matters.
Faithfulness in this season is what qualifies you for the next one.
4. Guard Your Mind From Comparison
Comparison is often the thief of momentum.
When your MORE feels too big, you’re most vulnerable to looking sideways. The pressure increases when you scroll through timelines filled with women who seem to be walking in what you’re still praying for.
But the Uncommon Woman knows that seasons differ. Your timeline is not their timeline, and your call is not their call.
Instead of competing, celebrate.
Instead of comparing, become.
Instead of rushing, root yourself in intimacy.
5. Lean Into the Holy Spirit—Your Strength and Strategy
The more God shows you, the more you need Him.
You cannot download Heaven’s vision and expect to execute it with human wisdom alone. This is the time to lean in. To fast. To ask questions. To wait for answers. To be anchored more than you are active.
Jesus Himself said,
“I do nothing on My own but speak just what the Father has taught Me.” – John 8:28b
If Jesus didn’t try to “do the most” without instruction, neither should we.
Your strategy will come in the secret place.
And it won’t feel like striving—it will feel like surrender.
6. Surround Yourself With Safe Sisters and Prophetic People
Sometimes your MORE needs midwives.
God often places people in your life to help you carry, clarify, and consecrate your call. You need sisters who can remind you of your “why” on the days you want to give up. You need mentors, leaders, and prophets who won’t let you shrink back when it feels too hard.
This is why spiritual community matters.
Don’t isolate. Don’t try to carry the weight alone.
There are women who are called to help you birth the MORE.
7. Trust God With the TIMING
God is not just the Giver of the vision—He is the Orchestrator of the process.
He knows when you’re ready. He sees what you cannot. Some delays are actually preparations. Some “nos” are “not yets.” And some “not yets” are divine protections for your soul.
So rest. Breathe. Trust.
Even when it feels like the MORE is too big for you, remember this:
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will do it.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
You were never meant to carry the call in your strength.
God is not asking for perfection—He’s asking for partnership.
So, what do you do when your MORE feels too big for your season?
You obey the last instruction.
You steward the now.
You stay close to Jesus.
You let God unfold the journey.
Because the truth is: your MORE is not too big—it’s just too holy to be rushed.
